Using Plickers for Entry/Exit or Attendance

Website:
I started using Plickers this week with my college course. Plickers are really easy to use and implement.

You sign up for free. And the app is available for ios and android. Supposedly it works better in ios, but I haven't tested that yet.

You first make a class at plickers.com and then enter your students names in the roster. The students are given a number and you can print a roster.  There are sets of plickers cards for large classes and small classes.

Then you download the plickers cards. They are numbered so you give the right card to the right student.  I had my students glue their card on the back of their nametag. I had to run the cards through the copier to make them smaller.

Then you go in and add a question (multiple choice or true/false) in the class.

Each day when class started, I went to plickers.com and logged in to the class. The question appears on the big screen. The students hold their card so that the right answer is at the top. (The card sides have A,B,C,D) to match the multiple choice.

Then you walk around the room with the app open on your phone or tablet. Then you walk around the room while the app access the camera to record student answers. It works like magic! As I walk around the students whose answers are recorded pop up on the screen. The students put their card down when they see they are recorded.

Below is a link to a youtube tutorial. I will add pictures/screenshots later!
